VNICE POWER 3.2V 100Ah Prismatic Cell Destructive Test

Many clients are confused by the quality of lithium iron phosphate battery,Whether the energy storage battery is safe to install in the home and whether the battery will catch fire and explode.It depends on the core components of the battery pack,that's the cell.Today we share the report of our destructive tests on the cell.

Over Discharging Test:

Full Charge the cell battery. And discharge it at 1I1 for 90min, and observe for 1 hour that there should be no explosion, no fire, and no leakage.

Test results: no explosion, no fire, and no leakage.

Over Charging Test:

Charge the cell battery, and discharge it at 1I1 until the voltage reaches 1.5 times the charging termination voltage specified by enterprise technology condition or the charging time reaches 1 hour and then stop charging and observe for an hour. There should not be explosions or fires.

Short Circurt Test:

Fully charge the cell battery and have an outer short circuit for 10 minutes. And the outer circuit resistance should be less than 5mΩ. Observe it for 1 hour, there should be no explosion or fire.

Thermal Abuse Test:

Fully charge the cell battery and put it in the environment simulation box, raise the temperature at a rate of 5℃/min until it reaches 130℃±2℃. Keep it for 30 minutes and stop heating. Observe it for 1 hour and there should be no explosion or fire.

Crush Test:

Fully charge the cell battery. Vertically press the battery with a semi­circle cylinder of 75mm radius at the direction of the electrode at a speed of (5±1)mm/s until the battery voltage reaches 0V or the pressing force reaches 200kN. Observe it for 1 hour and there should be no explosion or fire.

Seawater Immersion Test:

Fully charge the cell battery and immerse it in the 3.5% NaCl solution for 2 hours. There should be no explosion or fire.

Temperature Test:

Fully charge the cell battery and put it in an environment of ­40℃~85℃. Repeat it five times and observe for 1 hour. There should be no explosion, fire, or leakage.

Low Air Pressure Test:

Fully charge the cell battery and put it in low air pressure of 11.6kPa environment simulation box for 6 hours of simulation. There should be no explosion, fire, or leakage.
